FACEBOOK HASHTAGGING!
Every time I log to Facebook, I wish for more interesting posts. But sure enough, my news feed is flooded with private diaries : my head hurts, my foot hurts, my fingernail hurts, my inner soul hurts bla bla bla ... I ate this yesterday, and that the day before, and today I am not sure yet ... Gotta keep the mystery going, right?
But all of the above doesn't bother me that much anymore. It is the same people all the time, you get used to it. But here is what is bothering me so much lately: ######!
People seem to not be able to choose if they want to Facebook a picture of their early morning yoga or Instagram it, so they do both and all these hashtags are all over! I am not trying to be mean, but are you that worried that you won't get enough Hearts on Instagram that you need to post it on Facebook to get Likes as well? Kind of makes you look desperate for attention in my opinion.
I know what you guilty people will say: some people don't have Instagram so they check your Facebook and vice versa ... Well I promise you those few people that are not hooked on both Facebook and Instagram will live even if they miss a few picture updates of you and your boyfriend's latest selfie, I promise. Pick either Facebook or Instagram, and stick to just one per picture. Please.
But if you really can't help yourself, could you at least go easy on those hashtags? You don't need 25 hashtags for every picture ...

Also please stop inviting me to play Candy Crush, I am old school, I like to play real games like Monopoly and Dominos. Yeah I know I am not that cool. Sorry.
But I did upload beach pictures today to my Facebook. Apparently (according to a recent Facebook post I read) it is summer and if I didn't, people would think I have a miserable life and haven't been on vacation this year so here is a preview of the Paradise I visited two days ago:
What has been annoying you the most on a Facebook lately? It's ok if you want to say beach pictures or selfies ... I do not offend easily -:)

I am not on facebook anymore, but a freind of mine had his parents, for the last three years, bitterly battle on facebook to the point they almost got divorced. Of course it was caused by evil facebook friends commenting on their marital problems (that they would not know about had they each not tried to publicly humiliate each other, and convict each other of being horrible spouses via the mighty court of popular opinion. In between fights were sexual over-shares proving their love. Yeah, parents that act like fucking teenagers on facebook for their kids (and thier kids' friends) to see and comment on. Then complain that people are all up in their business.
ReplyDeleteOh, and selfies, not one or two, but someone who takes their pic daily.
Agreed! 13 year olds are expected to act like 13 year olds but adults in general, and especially parents should act their age, at least for Facebook purposes.
DeleteI am glad my one selfie didn't annoy you -:)
DeleteSee this is where we differ I love a good hashtag, I hate over tagging but I love to get a sarcastic hashtag in where I can #ProvingAPoint lol
ReplyDeleteIt's no fun if we agree on everything -:)
