LONDON Vs. NYC
If my boyfriend saw the title of this post, he would die. Ok I might be exaggerating a bit. He would only almost die. To him such a comparison is crazy because he is in love with NYC. No I didn't make a mistake, he doesn't just love NYC, he is IN love with NYC.
Even when it rains and snows, and everyone else wants to be in Florida, he is happy to be in NYC. For as long as we have been together, I have never heard him complain once about NYC. Me, on the other hand, started a blog called I Hate NYC on my official first day in NYC.
As much as his love for NYC had no boundaries, my hate for NYC had no limits.
And then I fell in love. With him, and with NYC too.
So maybe there is hope for London.
Maybe I will get over the fact that most restaurant kitchen close at 9 pm. Maybe I will get over the fact that there was a two hour limit at this Iranian restaurant I went to on Saturday. Food was fantastic, but the two hour timeframe to finish dinner was quite unwelcoming. And maybe I will get over the fact that a danish's price is not the same when you eat it in or take it away. Look for yourself if you don't believe me:
On the upside since I cannot afford much in this city, I am getting a lot of writing done. I am almost done with Edit number 4 on my next book, and I have tons of topics I want to blog about.
As for my waistline, I am unsure what will happen. I am running quite a bit and rollerblading too because the parks are truly fantastic, but I find myself visiting the food market and shops a bit too much, especially this Spanish store called Garcia & Sons that has every type of olive you can think of, every cold cut you ever wanted to taste and daily fresh bread.
All this free time might be a curse to my bikini line.
Do you love/hate London/NYC? Is London the greatest city in the World? Or is it NYC?
TIME Magazine seems a bit confused -:)
