BoyfriendLess at 28, Will die alone with 72 cats


"You shouldn't be too picky. Girls like you end up alone. I have seen it happen many times." That's what my colleague said to me last week. Not that I asked for her advice or anything. 

I was sharing my Korean chicken skewer recipe with another colleague, and because we are girls, the conversation went from cooking to boys, just like that, and that's when the "other" colleague decided to give me her two cents about me breaking up with my ex. 


Apparently because he has a good job where he made decent money, I should have ignored my gut telling me he was the wrong guy. Apparently a paycheck should have made me happy. Don't get me wrong, he is more than a decent guy and he has many qualities, and one day he will make a girl a little less spontaneous and a little less picture obsessed very happy. Just not me. 

Me gets up the first to dance at weddings. Me takes way too many pictures. Me talks loud. Me says silly things. Me wants to hold hands in the street and me likes to dance like no one is watching wherever I happen to be. So maybe she is right, maybe me will end up alone and will be the 3rd wheel forever, but luckily I get along with most of my friend's significant others and they like to have me around even boyfriendless  -:) And regardless, I never asked for her opinion. I wasn't even talking to her
 
So  next time you feel the need to give anybody unsolicited advice, refrain. We don't care. Plus it makes you look a little crazy and desperate. 

If you settled honey, it's your decision, but it will not be mine. And I am not sure what you meant by girls "like me," but I am just glad I am not a girl like you. Yeah I know I sound so mean, but I promise I am not that bad. 

Worst case, if my friends require me having a boyfriend, apparently I can create my own

    I too would rather die alone with a bunch of cats... I don't want to settle just to have someone... especially if they are not into fun. Oh and whoa to the unsolicited advice... as well it's quite judgemental... I'm with you, be yourself and live your life ♡

    Ummm hello.... did you fail to mention you have a life partner? And I agree we will not have 72 cats but dogs ratger.

"Trop bon trop con" is a French expression that means that if you are too nice, people take advantage of you. True or false? Honestly I am not sure but it definitely made me wonder. Since I am old enough to remember, I have usually been nice. The kind of person who changed her plans for family or friends in order to accommodate everyone - with a smile. Girl's Trip Complications

Anyone who has ever tried to put four girls in the same picture knows how difficult it can be, not to get them to take the picture, that's easy the part, but to get all four of them to agree that all four look good in one single picture and one single setting: "it's never the right profile, the right angle, the right look, the right filter and so on ..."
