Dominican Paradise
Last weekend wasn't my first time in Dominican Republic, however it was the first time I truly enjoyed myself in Santo Domingo. Same city, same beautiful weather, but this time around I wasn't a tourist and that made the whole difference. The drinks were better, the food was better and the beach was better. I was lucky to attend an incredibly fun wedding, had the best sancocho and chichorron ever and I probably had more chinola aka passion fruit daiquiris than I should have ... And the best part of all of this is that my brother is getting married in Punta Cana in a few months, so I get to do all of the above all over again very soon. So my advice to you is make a Dominican friend and try scoring an invite: it's the best way to discover DR. And if you fail at that, go anyways and definitely go for Sunday Brunch at Neptunos in Boca Chica. The decor itself is amazing, the drinks are yummy, the fried calamari is the best I have ever had,...
